Front Door and Garage Door Before and After

Door before almond/cream with gold trim.

Stripped door. Wow was that nasty crazy awesome stuff. We used thick rubber gloves, respirators, it eats through stuff like foam brushes. I am sure there are cool chemical experiments stripper could do, other than removing paint... and making great jokes, "Honey I went to Lowes and bought some different strippers, now I am on the front porch stripping".... anyways! The door is fiberglass with wood grain. Tried staining it with gel stain... not right color. I liked the product, just not the color.

Then I painted it with a pretty deep brown.

And followed up by painting the garage door. I will never hesitate to paint a garage door! It went on perfect with a roller. Easy and what a difference it made! I also replaced the weather stripping with brown.

Todays quick photo with Jersey cat.

Ottoman Recover Before and After

Master Bath Before and After

Below are the before photos of our master bathroom. Keep scrolling and you will see we gutted everything and completely changed it. I love it now - so peaceful and roomy! We put in an exhaust fan and light above a new efficient dual flush white toilet (really bringing it up to code - the window was how they got around not having a fan). We demolished the shower insert, because of the bench and lost space with an insert - I once had a 2 x 2 area to shower in and was still molested by a shower curtain everyday. We took out the cabinets, the vanity, sink, medicine cabinet. Basically everything was removed and replaced.

Poor planning - the cabinet door couldn't open all the way because of these huge window blinds and the cream curtain holder - drove me nuts for 9 months.

The granite counter is nice, but we get to look at it everyday in the other bathroom, which is an exact replica of this set up - oak, granite, stainless, globe lights.... but stay tuned because we've renovated it too!!

After Photos!
Beautiful contemporary gray variegated ceramic tile.

Shower now has cultured marble walls, ceiling and base. New chrome shower head, thermostatic and pressure valves and custom glass doors. It is so roomy and open now - so much better!

New square sink and contemporary faucet.

New sparkly light fixture, medicine cabinet (10" larger than old one). New cabinets. Painted the bathroom side of the door and the trim white.

Walls are Sherman Williams Earl Gray.

I bought it white linen curtain and hemmed it.

Our Dr. Bronner's soap!! Haha!

2013 Deckin' the Halls - Hopin' the Tree Doesn't Fall!

Everyone helps decorate the tree - big and small.

When told to smile, one must grimace.

Blurry shot showing that he is putting a foot on the ground to push off of.

The tree is fenced in, YET precariously leaning. The leaning tree paired with two sections of lights out...might be time for a new tree. OR duct tape ;)
