Punta Cana Monkey

This little Monkey was one of the highlights of Andrew's vacation! We caught a photo with him early in the week and had to wait until Friday for Andrew to get more photos of him. He was a very fun little Monkey!

ok I just wanted to pet the little guy- not have him grab my hair and sit on me.

The True's in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Deb, Dave, Andrew and I all had a wonderful vacation last week in the Dominican Republic!! The beach was beautiful and the resort was very nice.

The Punta Cana airport was quite interesting. The buildings were large grass huts- palm tree leaves instead of shingles on the roofs. The infrastructure was steel and concrete beams and there were peaks/dormors that were open. AND throughout the airport they had Big Ass Fans, which is a Kentucky Company!!

This is our room- the housekeepers name was Flora and she did a wonderful job!

I don't think this duck wanted to cuddle!

This was down the beach from our resort. I called it the "Wal-Mart". The locals had trinket shops set up and would make you go in and "lookie lookie" around. We bought some Laramar, which is only mined in the Dominican Republic. They claimed that having things imported was expensive, so we didn't get the bargins you sometimes can in the caribean.

This is Gregory and Nilma- 2 of 3 waiters that served us every morning and a couple dinners. They work for 12 days 14+ hours/day and then get 2 days off. They were wonderful. Gregory helped us with our spanish- and thank goodness for that!

This was in the Punta Cana airport- I laughed so hard. The "smoking kills" replaces our surgeon general warning and is even printed on the actual cigarette carton! I think this could work in the

TNT Turner True

In case you were wondering how Turner at 9 mo. old has been doing; Dad sent this video to me with the caption "A job for Turner!". Andrew replied:
Catching fish...Ha! I am still working on things like...."sit" is not always followed by "shake"......don't pee in the truck or carry that cat around by her neck...... Chew on a nyla bone an NOT expensive brown shoes, rugs, mini-blinds, and lattice-gates.........the space beneath the fence is not for you to visit the neighborhood dogs..............the grain in bucket is for Vinny......................if you stare at something long enough, it will NOT fall of my plate.............if you make it to bed before I do, I will not sleep in the floor.......Just because you can jump that high, doesn't mean you can sit on my head.......I am allowed to hug my wife without kissing the dogs........
.......and you want me to teach this dog to do something that I struggle doing.

Colorado Horse Showin' with Amy, Justin and Taylor

I guess Justin managed to sneak out of all the pictures we took...I am a Taylor "Tay-Tay" Fan!!

Deck Construction- Completed!!

The deck began construction on Wednesday, June 24th and was completed June 30th - pending County Building Inspection.

Grace is "Big Chillin" on the deck- The animals seem to think we built it for them...I guess they didn't get the memo.

This weekend Andrew and I assembled the Gazebo with some assistance from Steve and Leslie on Sunday morning. It was quite the job but went fairly well.

Wow- should really consider mowing the ENTIRE lawn before taking photos...oh well.

Tiger has really enjoyed the deck and was most happy to find the papazon chair last night!

Commentary by Turner: bug bug bug where is it- fly fly fly where'd it go? Oh this new wood smells good I'll mush my nose into it....*snnnnniiiiff!* ahhh!
