Deck Plans
Here we go again with another fun project!! The Deck! The top of this image is the back of our house which has a sliding glass door that would lead out to the deck. The deck is 32' long by approx 16' wide. The octagon top that is illustrated on the right side of this image is the Hardtop pavilion pictured below. The octagonal shape off the bottom left corner will be built in bench seating and eventually a gas fire pit in the floor.

We are looking on craigslist for some furniture to go under this pavilion. We picked it up on Monday with Dad's trailer- thanks Dad! This bolts to the deck floor and will line up with the stairs that go off the right side of the deck. I will be hanging some short of shade off the sides of this so we can enjoy it in the hot summer evenings. I am also looking into putting a ceiling fan and lights in the top so we can see to play cards!!!

So we are still looking at our options but here are some ideas for furniture for under our pavilion. I am a fan of wicker and would prefer the dark vs. the light, but hey if I catch a deal...And I want medium to light green cushions and some throw pillows with stripes/leaves.

Aunt Mary's Baby to Be and Momma "Grace"
Please visit Grace in Kentucky who is 336 days along on the foal cam: http://www.marestare.com/fieldsqh.php. She is the white mare at the top marked as "boo" - no that is not her name :)
you may have to download the Microsoft Silverlight program, but it is soooo cool to see her in there eating and rollin' around. I think it is funny to watch the gal clean the stalls...LOL. Thank you Aunt Mary for sharing!! :)

Uncle Steve and Lloyd come to Gtown!
Plans changed at the very last minute for U.Steve and Lloyd to stay with us INSTEAD of staying with Mom and Dad. Mom got the "ick" :(. But as bad as she felt she didn't want to miss out on the "FarmTour" so the made the trek to Good 2B True Farm. I love that Uncle Steve caught this photo opportunity, but I'm sad the photographer wasn't in the keepsake!
By Sunday she was feeling better. The timing really stunk that I didn't want to be around the "infected" for mommie's day (as I call it).

We had a wonderful visit with Uncle Steve and Lloyd this weekend. And I'm proud all the 4-legged critters behaved themselves.

Lloyd and I checking it all out. Note her baggie with some goodies in it- some of the greenery and plants around here are thriving - we just give em' away! :)

Finally...the "after" photos
These photos are brand new so they show the "end" (ha ha) result. The before photos are under the archive "2006" and "2007". We purchased this now HOME in January of 2007. Just a little tour for those of you who havn't been or for those that have and want to see what we are up to.
The Kitchen and Living room are one room with a vaulted ceiling- quite hard to photograph so just use your imagination.

With a total of 4 bedrooms, the blue guest room is down a long hallway:

These birds we brought back with us from our Jamaica Honeymoon...quite a story of transport- maybe one for another day :) But this is a locally hand carved piece that we purchased on the beach of our resort.

This is the western guest bathroom.

Master Bedroom
It is so nice the window look right out over the pasture, barn and arena- so I get up every morning to see my "boys" galloping or grazing :)
