Bath Time!

Gifts From ALL: Hat, Highchair & Worm

"Thanks Mom another hat...whoo hooo (who knew babies were so sarcastic?)

"You say the hat is from Great Aunt Mary!! WOW it is soo cool - really big thanks Aunt Mary!"

"Now I've got it going on - in my new high chair from Great Uncle Steve and Aunt Lloyd and sportin my cool new hat! And rockin' out in my Rock Star outfit!"

opps his socks are getting a little too small! :)

Ohh and the worm from Gramma!

This highchair is a "space saver" and straps to one of our chairs; we don't have room for a fullsize highchair so this is perfect! It has a tray and different recline positions so it will grow with him.

Hicups & Sneeze - Exersaucer

Hello Followers!
Dean is growing up so fast - I know I say that all the time but seriously it is amazing!

Yet again we were at Gramma's and Grandpa's house (Jan 22) and he started doing new things. First he was examining his hands for my mom - I couldn't believe it! Then while facing forward in my lap he was doing leg raises and crunches at the same time. My Dad had the great idea to hold his legs down - just as I did there goes Dean sitting up in my lap. Then I removed my hands and he figured out the correct muscles to use and Oh BOY he was sitting up by himself. We are not encouraging this "trick" anymore!! Tooo early to be sitting up!

He is drooling like crazy! Sucking on his fists and just in the past day his thumb. I'm not so thrilled that he's pushing his paci aside (just at night and in the car) to suck on his thumb! It was so hard for me, as a child, to stop sucking my thumb - at least with a paci you can wean them off of it; but the thumb is always available!

And today while getting changed he laughed at me. He's had happy squeals and coos but this was a full on belly laugh! I laughed back at him and he opened his pretty mouth really big and cooed happily back at me. I'll try to get this on video too.

Here is take 5 in the Exersaucer because he was drooling so much:

2 Month Check Up

Dean had his 2 month check up on Monday. He remains in the 70 percentile for weight at 12 lbs 11 oz; 95% for length at 24.75 inches. He was pretty good for his shots; ended up sleeping more than usual, but wasn't fussy nor did he run a fever.

We are all doing well. He is a good sleeper; generally 4 hours at a time and more and more frequently 6 to 7hr stretches. he's smiling all the time, tracks people as they walk across the room (especially his daddy!), is cooing and talking back to us and on Friday (2010!) rolled over while at Gramma's house! He laughs in his sleep, but has not yet made that noise while smiling. he does however have a gleeful coo when he gets happy or really tickled by someone.

We just love being parents!! What a way to bring in the new year!
