May Bubble Bath

I'm Back!!

Oh my goodness! It has been since February!! After this evening please look back through all posts since December - I'm adding updates on the date that they occurred and still had some Christmas photos that hadn't made it on here!!

We are doing great! Dean started eating baby rice cereal at 4 months. Then graduated to baby oatmeal. At 6 months (May) we started him on veggies. I've fed him each type for 4 days each, typically in the morning - sweet potatoes, avocado, peas then most recently carrots (big favorite!). Just Saturday his first fruit pears. Green beans are next. He still gets a mix of rice and oatmeal (typically in milk) in the evening. This is not only following Peditrician's orders, but also my research.

Just two weeks ago he cut two teeth at the same time. Had a runny nose and was a little fussy. We found a homeopathic remedy - Camilla. Camilla is a liquid that comes in very small individual vials that he drinks. Within 30 seconds he is calmed and happy again. If this doesn't work long enough I just give him infant acetaminophen.

Today he crawled - or at least as close to crawling as he's been! He'd been rolling around quite fast and getting everywhere but now he's gotten more efficient and effective (especially at running me around!).

Baby Dean?...What ARE you doing?

I was cooking lunch and making Dean's baby food...I turned around to see what the rustling was. The pantry doorway is the only doorway in our living/kitchen area for the jumper to hang. Dean was checking out the Dietschs bag! Which is filled with chocolates for friends. Dean wanted some Dietschs too! Dietschs is THE best cream filled chocolates ever. My favorite are the snowballs (coconut cream filled) and the dark chocolate covered pretzles.
Hey mom - are you holding out on me? When do you put this good stuff in the food processor for me?

Crawling - "Get The Puppy!"

Dean Kyser is crawling! He's officially mastered the moves - arm, leg, other arm, leg - repeat! Babies grow so fast! I feel like we just got home with him and now he's CRAWLING!

Dean Meets His Great Gramma

Dean met his 2nd Brewer and first relative on Mom's side this past weekend his Great Gramma! 3 month old Baby Lola (kitty) and Baby Dean behaved pretty well! Oh and mom did too! ha ha

Gramma said Dean is a good baby - maybe a bit spoiled. Hum only in the bestest way! And asked where he got his wide head. I have a large head but it is narrow. Then after looking at photos of Gramma and Dean...he has a True Truely wide head! I think it looks pretty good on him, but I may be biased?



Dean found something in this "pose" with Lola! They played with one another on the floor all weekend. Dean would play with his toys, a box or Lola's toys and Lola would come investigate and sometimes leap sideways! She is very light on her feet!


Lola had enough of the tail grabbing - even though Dean was very gentle!

First Trip to the Park & Burrito Baby!

April 10: We took Dean to the park on a sunny but windy day with neighbor Shelby (4yrs).
