Mt. Evans - 14,000ft
Mount Evans is the road into the sky. We drove from 8,700 feet at Idaho Spring where you turn of Interstate 70 to 14,240 feet to the summit, and passed through 3 life zones, passing ancient trees, lakes and forest to the land above timberline. It was around 85-90 degrees in Parker and 40 degrees at the top of Mount Evans. Mountain Goats and Bighorn Sheep greeted us as we climbed to the top of the world. (thank you mtevans.com).

wow. what a nice sightseeing trip. i have heard about beau jos many many times. i have yet to be taken there. was it good??? and the scenery at mt evans is out of this world. i have also never been there. usually i get to clean up dog poop in the back yard as my sightseeing adventure.
